The Washington Passport Agency provides same day processing of passport applications for customers whose departure date is within 14 days or who need to obtain a travel visa within 28 days. If that is your case, you first need to schedule an appointment by calling the automated system toll-free, 24 hours a day.
Are same day passports available?
If you do find that you need a passport in a hurry, call the National Passport Information Center at 1 (877) 487-2778 and see if you can get an appointment. If you cannot obtain an appointment, you can still get a same-day passport as a walk-in like I did. However, you’ll need evidence of a booked itinerary.
