Is it easy to park in Mevagissey?
Mevagissey is particularly difficult to park in during the summer months. The village has very narrow roads that weren’t built for cars and it’s nicer for pedestrians if you choose not to drive through it. Your average speed will be about 2mph which isn’t much fun. Less time parking means more time on the harbourside!
Is Cornwall Council parking free?
Car parks in Cornwall will remain free of charge until mid-May to support high streets as they get back to business. The Council will keep its car parks free until May 17, 2021, to support high streets, as businesses such as non-essential shops, hairdressers and outside hospitality are set to reopen on April 12.
Are St Austell car parks free?

Imo car parking in general is expensive in Cornwall and you can budget a £1 a hour at most places and does rack up if you are touring round and taking in 2 or 3 places in a day. Alot of beach car parks charge between £4 and £8 a day which isn’t bad if you spend all day but not if your only there for a few hours.
Where can I park for free in Fowey?
There is a limited free car park on your right as you follow the road off the Bodinnick Ferry and away from the village (6 spaces), we do not recommend parking in the village itself as the road is steep and narrow. The nearest alternative car park is the Caffa Mill Car Park on the Fowey side.

Can you drive in Fowey?
Yes Cornwall has plenty of narrow (single lane) roads which rely on passing places which can be daunting. But from Fowey you can drive to Eden, Heligan, Lanhydrock, Truro and Falmouth without encountering any narrow roads – and the first three all have ample parking.

Is there parking at the lighthouse in Mevagissey?
You can drive straight onto our harbour, park and enjoy the view! There are some 60 parking places plus 3 for disabled drivers. There is a ticket machine in the main parking area and your payment allows you to park either there, on your right after the Aquarium, or on the Lighthouse Quay itself.
Is the Mevagissey harbour open to the public?
Mevagissey’s harbour is the thing you tend to remember long after you’ve left. For a working harbour, members of the public have uncommonly good access. There is an inner quay and there are two outer harbour walls.
