Does Air Force basic training allow cell phones?
Trainees are encouraged to maintain their cell phone service while at BMT and to bring a calling card. Those arriving without phones will be provided opportunities to use a phone as needed. Trainees will use cell phones only under direct supervision of a staff member.
Can I send care packages to Air Force basic training?
Care packages and gifts are not allowed to be received during basic training. Trainees will know this ahead of time and this message must be relayed to their loved ones.
How many TRS are at Lackland Air Force base?
At Basic Military Training, there are seven Recruit Training Squadrons (TRS) at Lackland. Your mailing address depends on your squadron, the flight you are assigned to, and the dormitory number your flight is assigned to. Your mailing address will look like this: 319 TRS
Where do I get my Lackland Air Force base address?
Lackland AFB, TX 78236. If all else fails, a week (or so) after arrival, your address is listed at the Lackland AFB Basic Training Reception Center. Your family can call the center at (210) 671-3024 and get your address.
