What are the rules of Munchkin?
General Rules
- Cards in front of you are in play (race(s), class(es) curses, items etc.)
- You can only reach level 10 by killing a monster.
- You can never have a lower level than 1.
- At any time you can: Discard a class or race, play a “Go Up a Level” card, Hireling or curse.
How many cards do you start off with in Munchkins?

Deal four cards from each deck to each player. Keep separate face-up discard piles for the two decks. You may not look through the discards unless you play a card that allows you to!
How do dungeons work in Munchkin?
Dungeon cards are double-sized, both to give lots of room for both art and text and to make SURE you don’t mix them into other decks. Some dungeons will let you gain levels for entering, leaving, or doing certain things. These level increases cannot give you the winning level unless the card says they can.
Can you play Munchkin with two players?
Yes, You can play play Munchkin Deluxe with only two players. However, it would be a lot like playing Uno with only two players. Some of the cards are to be passed to the player on your right or left, or to a player of your choice. Around 4 – 6 players is optimal.
Is Munchkin a good game?
Munchkin is a ton of fun, and great to play when you aren’t trying to be all serious. I very much enjoy munchkin. To give you an idea of my boardgaming tastes, my two favorite games are probably Mage Knight and Arkham Horror.
