To maintain the fields, the city uses sheep rather than mechanical means, saving its money and oil while providing manure for farmers and wool. Recycling: Curitiba recycles around 70 percent of its garbage thanks to a program that allows for the exchange of bus tokens, notebooks and food in return for recycling.
