Are masks required at Brevard Zoo?
MASK POLICY The Zoo is primarily an outdoor experience, and masks are not required. However, we strongly recommend all guests bring a mask to wear in indoor areas (such as restrooms, administration and our retail store) and, if unvaccinated, in outdoor areas when social distancing is not possible.

Teachers in grades kindergarten through 12th can get one free admission during the zoo’s daytime hours. Events such as Summer Saturday Nights, which continues through this month, are extra. Admission to SSN is $6, free for members. Admission normally is $16 for adults, $15 for seniors and $12 for children ages 2-12.

Brevard Zoo won’t be getting any of the elephants, though. They lack the facilities and the funding. But the center will be a place where zoo staff from throughout North America can get training in proper care and medical treatment for elephants and how to handle them in captivity.

The SeaWorld preschool/teacher card allows unlimited admission to the park, including the Seven Seas Food Festival, Howl-O-Scream and the Christmas Celebration. In Florida, thunderstorms with lightning happen regularly. For the safety of our guests, the Zoo stops certain activities when thunder is heard. Our rule of thumb is to wait 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder before resuming kayaking, Treetop Trek, and Paws On water play activities.
