But we kindly ask you keep dogs under control at all times when at Clumber Park. All dogs must be on leads within the Pleasure Grounds and the Walled Kitchen Garden.

In most cases, the dog will not require any treatment once the mites are killed. In dogs that are very sensitive to bites from harvest mite larvae, additional treatment with anti-inflammatory medications may be indicated. In dogs with secondary skin infections, antibiotics may be needed.

Vets have urged owners and dog walkers to avoid woodland areas, as dogs have been found to suffer from symptoms between 1-3 days after visiting a particular area.
